18th Annual Holiday Toy Donation Drive & Giving Trees
Friday, November 28th - Thursday, December 18th, 2025
November 28th-December 18th, 2025: Happy holidays from our families to yours! For the past 18 years we've donated to different local schools and organizations to help put a smile on the faces of our local kids in need. This year, we adopted families through the Neighborhood Center within Oneida and Herkimer Counties, as well as Amsterdam and Gloversville Schools! Through this effort, we were able to donate 619 gifts for those in need this holiday season.
Through these wonderful non-profit organizations, we are able to directly support families in need of gifts for their children this holiday season throughout Oneida, Herkimer, and Fulton Counties. Thank you for helping spread the joy and make the holidays a little brighter for families in need in our area this year!
13th Annual Steet Ponte Auto Group Thanksgiving Food Drive

November 4th-November 24, 2025: 13th Annual Steet Ponte Auto Group Thanksgiving Food Drive!
The Steet Ponte Auto Group & United Auto Sales of Utica held our 13th Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, collecting a record breaking 4,000 items from all of our stores! For 2025, the Yorkville stores + Steet Ponte Chevy in Herkimer donated to Feed our Vets of Central New York to benefit Veterans and their families throughout the area. Steet Toyota of Johnstown donated to the Fulton County Veterans Vet to Vet Program!
In 2024, we donated 10 car loads full of food + $2,000 to the Thea Bowman House in Utica for our Yorkville locations, Catholic Charities of Herkimer County for our Chevy store, and the Amen Place Soup Kitchen that services Fulton County for our Toyota store in Johnstown!
"My brother and I started the food drive as a way to give back to our community during the Thanksgiving season. It has grown immensely, from our first year of filling up one vehicle, to now over 2,000 items being donated in 10 vehicles! These organizations do so much to revitalize the area and help our community members in need; we are so happy we could help in this way,'' Carly Steet Mathias stated.
As a family owned and operated business, the Steet and Ponte Families know how important it is to help our communities, especially during the holidays. Thank you to all who continue to help our Food Drive succeed year after year!
8th Annual Coats for Kids Coat Drive
Wednesday, October 1st- Monday, November 3rd, 2025
October 1st-November 3rd, 2025: The Steet Ponte Auto Group held our 8th Annual "Coats for Kids" Coat and Winter Clothing Drive! Each dealership collected a total of 1,425 items, including 444 winter coats, and the rest in snow pants, hats, gloves, scarves and snow boots! This was our biggest year yet, and we are so thankful to everyone who has helped this succeed year after year. We donated to Utica, Rome, Herkimer, CVA, Frankfort, Mayfield and Gloversville Elementary Schools.
In 2024, we donated 1,017 articles of new winter outerwear, including 500 winter coats, along with snow pants, boots, gloves, scarves, and hats, to local schools.
"We started this Coat Drive in response to our now, 18th annual Holiday Toy Drive. Year after year, we were getting overwhelming requests for winter coats and snow pants instead of toys. Finally, in 2018, we decided to create the Coats for Kids Coat Drive, so our local children in need are ready for the winter weather. Our children completely took this and ran with it, in 2022, we donated 675 articles of winter clothes, in 2023, over 900, and in 2024 a record breaking 1,000+!'' Joe Steet Sr. stated.
5th Annual Pet Food Drive at Steet Toyota of Johnstown
June 1st-June 30th 2025
Every summer, Steet Toyota of Johnstown collects money throughout our store to get pet food, toys, blankets, and treats for all of the animals in our local pet shelters in Johnstown! In the past, we've donated to the Johnstown Pet Shelter and the James A. Brennan Humane Society in Gloversville, NY. For 2025, our donations went to the Fulton County SPCA! We love getting to give back to the animals who aren't able to find homes yet, and we love even more playing with them when we get there! For 2025, we even held a pet adoption day in our store, and were able to donate a Toyota Tacoma full of food, pet supplies and toys, along with a generous donation of $2,000 from funds raised during this drive!
